Who are a couple of guys, or maybe things in general with regards to KU football, that you might have way too high of expectations for? Three guys that haven't played yet in particular for me that I might be thinking too highly of
1.) Kyle Mayberry - I think he starts by the end of the season (if not to begin the season) and is a solid 3+ year starter. While he needs to get a little bit bigger, I think his coverage skills are more advanced than a lot of the upperclassmen DBs on the roster, which with his speed translates into an early starting opportunity to me. If he doesn't start, still expect him to play as a true freshman and to start the next 3 years
2.) Evan Fairs - I honestly think he has NFL potential. Now I am not sure he starts this year and maybe not even next year because of how the roster is (Booker/Sims/Gonzalez/Patrick/Hartzog/Crawley/Harrell/Johnson/Sternberger all here the next two years), but I think he plays as a true freshman and by the time he is a junior we see the NFL potential coming out
3.) Keegan Brewer - because of the guys at WR, I think (hope) he redshirts this year...but by the time he is a RS SO I think he will be top 5 on the team in terms of number of receptions and will stay that way for a total of 3 years. He is a walk on, so that may be too high of expectations for the kid, but I think he is going to be a key piece to the offense in a few years
