David Lawrence hosting not Hanni.

Leipold said watching Texas go Toe to Toe against Alabama and he thought right there they were a good football team. He said it was great to have Daniels back on the field and they just never got momentum.

He made a comment again about how they have played several teams who were coming off a loss and kind of had their backs against the wall.

He said they challenged Players yesterday at practice and it was their best Monday practice. They had a good approach and we're very businesslike again today.

He said they will be excited about Saturday night.

They weren't able to create any turnovers, had a touchdown called back, and missed a field goal.

They talked about the illegal man down field and it was more David making his comment and Lance said he is not sent that play in yet but he will.

He said from the Texas Tech game they sent in several clips of them downfield illegally and the Big 12 offices responded and said that KU was right.

Said they were able to get the indoor facility down to 35° to play inside and prepare for the cold weather.

David asked Leipold about the scout team and how well it is run at practice. Lawrence said it is one of the best scout team practices of any coach that he's seen.

104000 more fans went to the home games to watch them this year. Leipold think everybody for being there and he said he hopes "we are just getting started."

Sam Burt looking forward to the game and said one of the big things he wanted to do is leave the KU program better than he found it.

Burt said it is bragging rights and also important for Kansas kids when they think of where they're going to go to college.

Said Novitsky was banged up and getting healthy and Cabeldue is healthy now. Said they are pretty good health wise.

Leipold said a lot of times Kansas state will drop eight guys into coverage which makes it harder to throw and they are still getting pressure with their defensive ends only rushing three.

Kansas State plays press coverage so Kansas will do motions and shifts to try and mix up their coverages.

For the second week they will play against an All-American type running back. He has quickness and good Vision to find holes but he has enough speed to pull away from people.

Said will Howard is throwing the ball very well.
