Brian Hanni said a good crowd on hand.

Lance thanked everyone for coming out and appreciates their support. He said he's proud of the guys they got back in town after 1:00 in the morning and then they practiced Sunday night.

Said they are a little bit on the tired side but they will be ready to go.

He thought the team played hard and physical but Illinois created more explosive plays and they lost the turnover battle. He said it's not one person or one play that causes you to lose a game like that. They know they have things to improve on.

He said they have a chance to be a good football team but their margin of error is very small. He said you look around the country and see this happening to a lot of teams.

Leipold said UNLV will have an edge To them After losing in the bowl game.

Caleb Taylor is one of the guests at Hawk Talk and Lance said he played well. Marvin Grant was active and the secondary did some good things. They have to clean some things up communication wise on the back end.

Neal had a good game and the run game was solid. The option game showed itself and the offensive line played a good game and they never had any substitutions everyone played all the snaps as the starters on the offensive line.

Daniels can learn a lot from this game and he's disappointed. Sometimes Leipold said he has to tell him to relax. Said it's like a baseball pitcher where sometimes it's your day and sometimes it's not. They need his leadership and him to play well.

Said Neal could be knocking on his door saying he needs more carries but he's more about the team.

Again Leipold said UNLV is a better team first off he said they are experienced with nine seniors on both sides of the ball. He likes the quarterback that transferred from Holy Cross and their receiver is a threat and also in the return game. In the bowl game the KU receivers made some big catches going up to get balls but the UNLV secondary is longer this year.

Defensively they are very aggressive and give you a lot of looks along the line of scrimmage. Have good size and are athletic. Athletically Lance said they play like a power 4 team.
