Today was a heartbreaker. But we lost a close game because of mistakes that come from inexperience. News flash - we are inexperienced.
I know that KU football fans are a rare breed of sports fans, and our muscle memory of "fire the bum" comes into play awful quickly. Hell, I don't blame us.
But I was very impressed with our play today, on both sides of the ball. Our defense looked stout (esp. our DL) and our offense actually clicked.
So let's take a deep breath and recognize that, though we didn't get the win, there was plenty of evidence to suggest we are trending in the right direction.
