When Beatty was hired I was told by a couple of people who were in on the process that he had an incredibly detailed and organized plan on how to fix the program, particularly with recruiting.
I think we are seeing this now with getting a kicker and punter at this time of year, helping two glaring areas of need and with the flood of early offers that have gone out.
I believe this is all part of the plan Beatty presented to the search committee and he is executing it very quickly and most impressively, quietly. The walkon progress is especially interesting to watch.
KU football fans have suffered thru some ugly, unorganized and passionless years from our coaching staffs. Beatty is turning many things around so quickly that it is amazing.
Now the football gods owe us in that this all translates into signing good recruits and to legitimate winning football on the field. Looking forward to the spring game.
