The Trump Executive Order says kids born from parents who are not citizens - that includes those here legally on work visas as well as illegals - are not covered by the 14th Amendment birthright citizenship. His reasoning has been around for awhile - it says the words in the Amendment “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” means noncitizens are still subject to the jurisdictions of their country of origin. So, these non citizens’ kids born here have no citizenship birthright. Legal precedent is not on his side but who knows what his SCOTUS may do with this.
