Watching the game live, it seems like this position is being ignored. It appeared that we are running many 4 WR sets. I thought that we are supposed to have two good TEs in Ben Johnson and Kent Taylor. A TE could be utilized as a safety valve for Willis to dump the ball and get positive yardage. Cummings as QB had a lot of success throwing to the TE.
Does Likens not like to utilize the TE position under his offensive scheme? Does Willis not like to throw to them when they are in the game? It seems like Taylor catches pretty much everything thrown in his direction and with the dropped passes, he could be a big benefit. I've always been more of a fan of finding a TE in a seam than sideline passes that have pick 6 written all over them.
Yes, I know I'm just a fan and not a coach and my opinion means very little but I was wondering what other people's opinion were on the use of TEs in our offense.
