After re-watching the game, I maybe have more random thoughts about questions this game than I have any other game recently. Maybe you can expand some on these and my apologies if some of this has already been discussed...

The defense was bad in the first half, but it was the type of defense we need to see against some high octane teams. They had around 350 yards of offense in the first half, but holding them to a couple of FGs and getting an INT in the endzone...we need this bend but don't break type of defense for the next few years. Second half defense was great (only TD scored by Tech in the second half was a pick 6)

Joe Dineen is probably the best all-around LB we have at blitzing since James Holt

Daniel Wise was incredibly active out there and was his best game, in general the DL was finally playing pissed and I liked that

What is the story on Corey King and why he didn't play?

Could notice he didn't play because the DL wasn't getting pushed around as much, specifically didn't notice DJ Williams get pushed back once...solid potential as a 3-tech NT type

Anybody notice how they were using Kendall Duckworth? He was playing spy on Mahomes near the end - I wonder if they have him do that against other mobile QBs in the future

How about Derrick Neal coming in at CB and causing a forced fumble right away (still think that was a weak block in the back call on him)?

Marquis Roberts wasn't squared up for tackles a lot of the time - over pursued some and that hurt him making some tackles

I am curious what goes into being a starter each week, after Chevy Graham gets pumped up they mainly played Shaw this past week

Looked better defending up the middle, but have to get better on off-tackle and outside plays

Why in the world did Tech not move their huddle away from Ben Goodman when he got hurt near the end and was on the ground?

Tech had a lot of drops on the day and missed some open deep throws - could have been worse

Why did Tech for 2 after their first TD? I know we blocked an extra point of their's later on, but they didn't go for two on the TD after that. Seemed like they were screwing around with us

On the flip side, I thought the offense was pretty solid in the first half and it was shocking they put up no points - that is a learning opportunity for this young squad (or special teams since that will get mentioned a lot)

The most encouraging thing player/sign for me this game - Darious Crawley drops a pass and then fumbles his next catch....but comes back solid and has 6 catches on the D...I am not sure under previous coaching staffs if a player started out like that he would have bounced back to be solid in a game

The last time a KU QB threw 50 or more passes in a game until yesterday - Todd Reesing's last game

The OL did a lot better job maintaining the LOS - not a ton of push, but didn't get pushed back...still had some struggles against edge rush

Bragg switched between LG and RG in this game. I think this means he is they only feel comfortable playing Peters, Banks, and Bragg at guard right now...I would play Larry Hughes some at guard since Mazyck was good to give him more snaps (Hughes has some mauler tendencies in him)

Not going for it on 4th and short has driven some crazy, but I am starting to think the staff just isn't comfortable enough to convert 4th and short situations yet - the deep TD to Parmalee on 4th was great, but that's the second time this year they tried going deep on 4th and short...

Which brings me to Michael Zunica playing FB - I am curious how they recruit FBs going forward and if they will be primarily walk on guys initially.

Final Countdown has a pretty impressive three game win streak going on for song played during the 3rd quarter!
