QBs tend to commit before other positions, while noting some exceptions. With roughly ten months to go until NSD 2016, only 6 of the top 15 dual threat QBs and 7 of the top 15 pro style QBs (3 of the top 10) remain uncommitted. Tonight, the 12th ranked dual threat QB committed to UNC, yesterday OU landed the 3rd ranked pro style QB, and within the past week Michigan landed the 5th best pro style QB. You are also seeing schools like Ohio State putting the squeeze on their top QB prospects saying they are only taking one in this class and it will be first come first serve (with a guy like Tristan Wallace possibly jumping the gun soon on that offer).

So I think this speeds up the timeline a little bit for both schools and prospects. Schools quickly trying to fill on replacements due to a miss and prospects looking at jumping on an offer.

So this leads me to wondering about Skylar Thompson. After his great performance at a recent combine, interest has picked up in him. Has received a couple of other offers, with Wake Forest being the biggest of the new offers. I bet he makes his decision before next season starts, but am not sure he would commit within the next month as he appears to still be in the fact gathering stage. Timing could be key here. As it stands right now, I think KU stands a pretty good shot...but will he receive any new offers before committing? We shall see...the QB market is beginning to heat up with commits coming in all around...
