Question for you guys. So our community recently suffered a tragedy where a father and son were killed when they were rear ended by a semi. The mother and youngest son were in critical condition, and 2nd party lady was also in critical condition. My wife went to look up obituary information (we’re not friends, but their son goes to school with ours and it’s likely our son will attend the mother’s 2nd grade class next year) when she noticed a link to a Texas Lawyer citing the family and the accident.
This lawyer is using the accident, in blog form, as advertisement for his firm. He has no connection to this family (that I’m aware of) and isn’t representing them. It really struck me as odd and rubbed my wife the wrong way. Is this standard practice? I couldn’t imagine using someone else’s death(s) 2 states away to promote my business. Thoughts?
