I have looked at the schedule a hundred times. But this just hit me today, and it is bugging me.
With a nine game conference schedule, some teams will only get four home games which I understand. But look closer at KUs.

First game on the road
Last game on the road against rival
Only 2 of last 6 games at home.
tell me this is not ridiculous and could have not been planned more evenly!
just one more hurdle to overcome.
