I've seen some people talking about the height and three-point shooting percentage of Sahvir Wheeler. With that in mind, I decided to watch some game clips last night and this morning, and then went back over his stats from his two-year run at Georgia. Here is a breakdown of some of his best performances.

FRESHMAN YEAR:

19 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists (first career game) in win over Western Carolina.

10 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists in a win over The Citadel

10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists in a loss to Michigan State

10 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists in a win over Memphis

16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist in a loss to Ole Miss

24 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists in a loss to Alabama

13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists in a win over Auburn

11 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists in a win over Vanderbilt

15 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists in a loss to Ole Miss in the conference tourney.

ADDITIONAL STATS:

Had 2 or more steals 7 times as a freshman at Georgia

Had 3 or more rebounds 13 times as a freshman at Georgia

He was 18-of-80 from behind the arc, but never attempted more than 8 threes in any game this past season

He went 1-4 from 3 against Jacksonville, 1-6 against Montana, 1-3 against Samford, 2-4 against Cincinnati, 3-8 against LSU, 2-2 against Ole Miss, 1-5 against South Carolina, 2-5 against Ole Miss, 1-2 against Auburn, 1-3 against Missouri, 1-4 against Florida, and 1-6 against LSU


CONCLUSION:

If you have the opportunity to add a player like Sahvir Wheeler to your roster, you absolutely take advantage of that opportunity. The kid is a gamer, knows the game inside and out, and would be in a completely different situation at Kansas. He's great at getting teammates involved and doesn't back down from contact when driving to the basket. Obviously, the coaching staff sees something in Wheeler and, with very few options left remaining on the table, he would be an amazing addition to the roster this late in the process.
