I know he just won a national title and all that, but they were ready to fire him less than two months before that. Seems insane to me that you'd give him that much money that soon after. Especially if you don't have reason to think that he is going anywhere--and I don't think they did. Feels like a case of the rich just having too much money to spend and no idea what to do with it.
