Seems like a good plan. We know Zenger won't be the guy to select the next coach, and we may need to act after year 3 if the pace of progress does not improve.
Still hoping Beaty turns it around but he is lacking in most areas of coaching. Nice job upgrading the roster and high in likeability, but the lack of team identity, game and situation awareness and failure to motivate are all failures to date (or incomplete if you want to be generous).
You don't want to get to the end of next year needing to turn over the AD and head football coach at the same time...
