Maxwell Robinson an offensive tackle was at practice today and he was offered on his visit after meeting with Daryl Agpalsa. He is a 2026 prospect and I think he will be one of the more highly-recruited OL in the area. He already has early offers from KU and Minnesota. Robinson will be a three-star OL.
Also on campus was four-star safety Marcello Vitti from Detroit who holds several offers including KU, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn, Penn State and several others. I will get him to get his thoughts.
Jack Utz, TE from Platte City, MO visited today. He has offers from KU, Mizzou, Arkansas, Iowa State, Illinois and others.
Owen Linder confirmed to me he was on campus. He's an OL from Chanhassen, Minnesota. He's getting some early looks and will be one to watch. I think he will get a KU offer.
We have talked and talked about the challenges of local recruiting and it looks like those are going to continue. I am hearing two prospects will not take official visits to KU and the Jayhawks are likely off their list in Andrew Babalola and Dawson Merritt. The staff did a great job recruiting them, but aren't get a shot at them.
I do think losing Fuchs and Kotelnicki hurt some with Babalola because those were the two coaches recruiting him.
I also think Bryson Hayes could cancel his official visits soon and commit to Nebraska.
