One of the names I threw out earlier was Nate Woody. I have now heard that again this time from a source who is familiar with Georgia Tech.
It is believed Woody is "in the mix" but nothing more than that is known. The person said if things work out he would like to stay in the same area for his family and possibly remain at GT. He was also believed to be in the final list for the App State HC opening. But my source that is likely going to a coach from NC State.
In App State's move to the FBS Woody's defenses finished in the Top 20 the last three years he was there.
I want to be clear there is nothing solid that he is the DC Miles is targeting. But his name is certainly among the group.
