Time for some positive thoughts: So we obviously have numerous reasons for concern, but one area that I am generally very positive about is our Defensive End position. With a slimmed down Goodman, Olobia, Mosby, and Ehambe, we have four guys that look the part. I think we saw enough good things from them in the Spring Game to say that this should be a strength. This does not even include Armstrong who I think will push for playing time very early. Ben Goodman has been a durable player for us, but frankly last year, he wasn't very effective as a beefed-up 5 technique. He was better as a sophomore and I expect him to return to that level this year. Mosby has better size and strength than anticipated he'd have and could be an every down end with Olobia and Ehambe causing real havoc on passing downs.
Other areas that I'm upbeat about: Offensive Line, Running Back (pending Taylor Cox's availability), Tight End, Safety.
