I was going through some old notes and had my defensive list in the beginning of the year. On there was Jake Love, Isaiah Johnson, and Andrew Bolton.
When you have a thin team and inexperienced it is eye-opening what a few players could mean.
I think Love and Johnson would have been two of the leaders on defense. They were experienced and would have started.
Bolton just started the last two games at NT for Southern Miss after reporting there in the summer. He isn't an all conference player or anything but he had starter potential at KU. He just didn't handle his business at KU.
I know it doesn't look like much but just those three players change the make-up of the way the current looks now. Every player that left or couldn't play really hurts already thin numbers
