While I realize this may appear to be pretty harsh I believe it is time for a couple players to move on.
Brannen Greene - I wish this young man well but I do not believe he is a KU level player. Let's begin with his attitude. At times he is a sulker. At other times he has failed to do what is expected of him, like getting to class or getting to practice on time.
Green's defense can best be described as non existent. He loses his man more often than any player on the floor. His footwork to keep his man in front of him is terrible. His passing skills are not great either. And he clearly" telegraphs" what he is going to do too often resulting in a turnover.Branden's offense is built around him getting "in the groove." If he hits his first shot or two then he might go on a streak. If not, he then becomes a liability on offense because he over thinks every other shot.
Brannen should move to a D-2 school where there is no great expectations on him. Where the coach's philosophy is putting up as many points as possible. Maybe with a great deal of playing time he could improve his game.Getting more playing time should be his goal so he can become a more effective player. The alternative is to stay at KU and "ride the pine" for most of the game.
Jamari Traylor - What I hope is that he has enough college credits to graduate this year. That way when he transfers he can play right away as a graduate. Traylor needs to move on because he is a really inconsistent player. Some games he seems to be in it but in too many games he plays as if he'd never been in a college game. His defense is sporadic at best.
After four years he should be a much better player. So I wish him the best but I want him to move on.
