That's a joke that they don't cover that track like a baseball infield on rainy days. It rains there every other year. Apparently Thunder Snow got spooked with the muddy conditions and dropped out. In the biggest race of the year, amazing they still have to run in those crappy conditions. Just get in front and you're good. Of course I was rooting for the Kansas horse McCraken.
