I watched a replay on ESPN Classic of the 2008 KU @ OU game, Briscoe lit it up in a loss. However, I was reminded of the draw play that many bitched about constantly. It may have had the same level of pitch fork and torch hatred as the current bubble screen.
However, the draw worked once in a while and I think it did keep the defense honest. I am not sure what the current string of bubble screens does other than kill drives.
Please do not turn this into a Mangino love/hate thread, we have exhausted that topic. It was just nice to see Angus go for 9 yards on the draw, I think Sharp may have even scored on the draw in the game.
