I have learned that Javier Derritt is set to visit KU starting today sometime.

From things I am hearing it is going to be a tough battle for him. Derritt played his high school football at St. Thomas Aquinas in Overland Park. He signed with North Dakota State. In his four years at North Dakota State he had 90 tackles with 16 TFL and 11 sacks.

He really came on his sophomore season and followed that with two good years after that.

It is believed Jim Panagos is handling the lead recruiting. The intel I have says he will visit USC and Cal after KU and then will decide. I believe his visit to KU will be a one-day visit.

His former head coach at NDSU is now at USC. So, that will be a challenge.

The portal visit is open for recruits to visit starting today and will last through Jan. 7
