I believe Self has referenced something like this: Wants the team to react really quick.... 3 seconds... to do something right away, immediately when they have the ball..., mentions 3 choices... either pass it ( which I think is Self's #1 choice and other teams know this, but that pass starts the '3second clock again for the second pass... 2nd choice to shoot it, or 3rd choice drive it, which basically happens with this team only about 5 % of the time)... Now your mind has be really quick, to process all of that in 3 seconds, and make the best choice...
My point mentioning the 3 second option ?? I do not think this team can " think " that fast.... Perhaps this team needs to have a 6 second option... Looks like they react " so fast ", that they are turning the ball over way way too much. Maybe past teams, could play Self's "3 second game", not so much this team...
