The slow starts are killing KU. Handed them 14 to start and did nothing on O in the first half. KU looked awful. 20 to 7 in the second half is a great response but the boys have to start faster on offense.
I am in awe at the change in the effort and attitude of this football team. Everyone knows that in years past this likely would have been a blowout. This is the most significant item LL has brought to the table. It is extraordinary what he has done with the mental side of the program.
The reality is KU still needs to improve the roster significantly. Size and speed on every level of the defense. The Portal, Juco, HS, the parking lot, order them on Amazon, size and speed!
Getting a 6th win is going to be tough with the remaining schedule. But we can take hope in the fact LL will have them in every game. And that is saying something.
