On the ballot in Bama now. It’s only a matter of time before he puts his name in the Democratic race. I think he has always explored running as an independent but sees no way he can win doing so.

Look, Mike is a self made billionaire. Let’s just get that out-of-the-way because that’s going to be a point of contention for some, most notably those to the left of center.

He is regarded as socially Liberal or progressive on multiple issues, supporting abortion rights, same-sex marriage, strict gun control measures, environmentalism and a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. On economics and foreign issues, he has tended towards a Conservative or moderate stance.

He was a Democrat and then became a Republican, when he became mayor of New York City, and then a independent for his 3rd term before filing back as a Democrat.

His campaign would be totally self-sufficient from a money standpoint as he’s one of the 10 richest people in America. He wouldn’t need donations or a Super PAC. He could literally destroy the field with the amount of paid media coverage. You thought Trump was on TV 24/7 wait for Mike to present himself. He will dominate the media coverage for the next few weeks for sure if he does indeed run.

I don’t know if Mike Bloomberg could win the nomination, but he’s obviously a Washington outsider with tons of media and political clout. I’m sure he’s seeing what’s happening with Joe Biden and his struggles and also probably sees so much of the party going so far to the left and he sees a real opportunity to grab moderates and even Rino’s that feel alienated.

People have to forget the highest percentage of the population still hovers somewhere around the middle when it comes to politics. I think the last time I looked 35% of the population saw themselves as conservative, 35% saw themselves as moderates and another 26% saw themselves as liberal. There’s a large fraction of the population that wouldn’t be turned off from Bloomberg’s money, Just as so many aren’t turned off from Trumps.

Thoughts???
