Any commit you think could surprise people or general thoughts on commits?
Re-watching our commits senior highlights and I have to give that vote to Ian Peterson. Could just be that he committed over the summer and things have been relatively quiet, but there hasn't been a lot of talk about him and I think he is really going to be a player for us.
To me, he fits the mold of one of those TCU or Baylor commits. Look at some of the guys they have committed over the recent history and Peterson is pretty similar in terms of size. However, the kid has big time speed - we are talking sub 10.4 100m time speed here.
So you know he has the speed to cover guys, and in his clips you really see him cover a lot of ground quickly. But he is just so aggressive against the run as well. He is not afraid to get dirty against the run game.
The final thing is playing time is there for him with the guys that will graduate after this year. He may not play as a true freshman, but he has a really strong chance of starting after this year.
Put that all together - a kid with insane speed, a solid offer list, and really solid chance of being a 3+ year starter...that's pretty impressive for a kid not getting a lot of hype
