Said they challenged the OL and knew Oklahoma State was banged up. Said the OL played well. Armaj played well and Kobe Baynes played some.

Said Michael Ford played different spots and that will be needed again this week.

Got a lot of text messages over 150 and they were still coming in.

Leipold saw more emotion and vocally than a year ago from Jason Bean.

Said the whole week last week was more physical. During the bye week the players talked about being more physical. Was noticeable during the week and it showed up. Had the least amount of missed tackles.

Said getting TO's some time come in bunches and sometimes there are droughts.

McCaskill has played well the last three games. He didn't report until late and had to learn the defense. He stayed with it and they have had talks with him about being patient. He and Gilyard have added a "different flavor" with experience and physicality.

A year ago the depth wasn't where it needed to be.

Asked about following the league race to see where they will be. Leipold said playing well down the stretch anything is possible. Last week was big and they get to play a 13th game.

Being in contention is a good feeling in year two. "We are proud not satisfied."

When asked if the team is banged up... "yeah it is a growing list."

He also said other teams are going through the same things.

The pace at what Tech plays with stands out to Leipold. McGuire done good job and three QBs have played for them. They run the most plays in the Big 12. Have to get lined up and communicate.

Have to carry over how well they tackles vs OSU to the Tech game.

McGuire sent him a text congratulating him on their 6th win.

Devin Neal really carried the load and has matured beyond his years and his consistency.

On the illegal shift call he wasn't happy. When asked if that emotions carry over and he wants the players he will have their back.

Can learn from the way that OU played fast and that can help.

They want to play as physical as they did against OSU and he said that is sustainable the last three games.
