Pretty bold move here by Augustana. Sioux Falls is the largest community in South Dakota but South Dakota State is not all that far away in Brookings.
Augustana won D-2 baseball last season and their sports programs across the board are very comparable to the MIAA. Just don’t see the huge advantage of going to D-1 and now having to compete vs KSU, Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, South Dakota State, South Dakota, Drake, Northern Iowa, North Dakota, and North Dakota State for Snow Belt recuits.
