Some won't remember this, but KU basketball has seen far poorer teams and seasons. You have to go back to the later Ted Owens years in the early 1980s; however, it was pretty grim in those days. So, there are two takeaways. First, this team (thus far) is not even close to as bad as those teams were and second, the program will recover. Maybe not this season, maybe not next season, but it will recover. For those of you too young to remember those awful teams in the 1970s and early 80s, you'll just have to trust the old guys like me that it was far worse than now.
