Gee, who does this benefit? The people of AZ? Nope, they now will have fewer avenues for capturing illegal or corrupt police and police actions. The government overall? Meh, it's kind of a wash for them. The police? Yup, now they won't be scrutinized for actions they take, meaning they can act with more or less impunity. And I'm sure none of them will walk towards people filming them so they can say, "it's within 8', I'm arresting you and confiscating your phone."
