Here was Coach Bill Self’s response when asked that very question earlier today.
“We’re talking to some guys,” said Self. “Hopefully we can find someone that fits with what we’re trying to do and would fit and complement the guys we already have. You know, we need some guys, guys from a role standpoint, that can make the other guys look better and not necessarily be a guy that can come in and score all the points or anything like that.
“That would be nice, obviously,” he added. “How do we have, you know, somebody that can come in and be a nice asset to us and benefit the other skill levels? When you go back and look at it, a Tyrel Reed, a Brady Morningstar, a Travis Releford, there’s a lot of guys that we’ve had that fit that role.
“A Kevin Young,” he continued. “Those type of guys. It would be nice if we could find the right one that fits us.
Self said they would look overseas, but that would be a bit more complicated because, whether the guys are playing professionally or amateurs, they’d likely be playing in a professional league and most would be expected to stay for various reasons, including fulfilling obligations,
