I had breakfast this morning with my wife at Chappy's Deli here in Auburn. A friend of mine came in who is heavily involved in the tip-off club with Auburn basketball. As I was talking to him about KU's 11th straight conference championship, he said to me - "Here comes a guy that would take one of those" As I looked up, I saw Bruce Pearl coming in. He came up to the table, extended his hand and said "Kansas, what's going on?"
I've had an opportunity to speak with Bruce a number of times and from what I can tell, he seems like a good guy (in light of his indiscresion at TN). He talked about the win Tuesday night and said Bill has done one of his best jobs coaching this year. He said they are making some progress at Auburn but they need to get players . He also mentioned they are trying to get Kansas on the schedule for a home and home. He said he wants to get better "nationwide recognized" competition on the floor in Auburn even if it means traveling to near impossible win opportunities on the road. I think he will win here - probably not going to un-seed Kentucky or Florida any time soon but he will win --
