For the first time in years I am not really excited about the upcoming season. I used to live and die KU basketball. I don't even know who is on the roster as I haven't been following recruiting that much. The portal and NIL money has pretty much killed my enthusiasm. It's not much fun when you can't watch a team develop and grow together. You can't get attached to certain players because they are gone before you know it.
I miss amateur sports. And, yes, I understand it is a sign of the times.
