How many of the current transfers in the last two classes do you think Bill would still actually take if he could do it all over again?
Even with his troubles on the defensive side of the ball, I think the one guy Bill would take if he could do it all over again would be Zeke. I mean, you can’t turn away a local kid with his talent level regardless. He’s actually been pretty darn good for much of this season. I do think he’s currently frustrated, but which player isn’t right now? I think under different circumstances with different teammates Zeke would be flourishing, not regressing. Only other guy I think Bill would have taken regardless would be Diggy Coit. Coit has been a really solid backup PG.
I know this is purely hindsight, but sadly there are a couple of other local kids that played their high school ball in the state of Kansas that would look really really good on this year’s roster in Mark Mitchell (Bishop Miege) and Caleb Grill (Maize). Both of them have brought huge improvements on both ends of the court for Mizzou this season. Oddly many of our biggest question marks are things Grill and Mitchell seem to be excelling at for the Tigers. Sigh. I know purely hindsight. Sigh.
