At KU I was thinking something was amiss until I saw Mark Sears the superstar guard for Alabama is going into the portal and transferring to Auburn of all places. When I read that it hit me KU did nothing wrong, nothing is amiss. Every program is losing good/great players and it’s all just a money grab. I will no longer take any of this stuff personally when our guys leave, they are simply being advised by family members, agent, high school coaches and mentors etc. that this is free agency and it’s an easy way to make money. Gone are the days of brand loyalty or school pride. Duke unfortunately is probably one of the only schools left in the country that has that and it gives them a distinct advantage. mercenaries only care about the money, but kids that play for school pride and the name on the front of the jersey, as opposed to the one on the back of the jersey Will always fight scratch and claw their way to keep their university at the top of the mountain. I hate to say it, but duke is putting more and more distance between themselves and everyone else😞
