And woke up feeling the way I did when I went to bed at 2 last night.
Fluky games happen. Undisciplined games happen. Sometimes those intersect with one another and a good team plays closer than expected with a bad team. When that happens, the good team will usually shake it off and take the W and move on.
The difference for us this time compared to years past is that when a lot of things went against us, we still managed to win the game. That didn’t happen before. That’s a sign of a good team, not a reason for panic.
We could certainly lose to BYU. We could lose all the rest of our games. But I don’t think we will, and I think we are going to show this was the fluke and not the game last week. I’m still confident in this team and this staff to challenge everyone on the schedule. And I still think this can and very well may be a special season.
