Bought a house from an old Hungarian lady who was a complete monster and may or may not have been a witch. (I'm assuming witch.) She was a total nightmare throughout the process, but she signed the contract to sell. Two days before closing she said she wanted to back out. (Turned out she had some loan that would be forgiven if she owned the house for 10 years, but she only owned it for 8, so she was on the hook to pay back like 35k.)
We're literally 90% packed, have spent thousands of dollars flying back and forth for inspections, etc. Our lawyer said he would sue the bejeezus out of her, and she very reluctantly and angrily sold us the house.
Am I going to wake up with her standing over my bed holding my already severed nutsack?
