I've been thinking about the upcoming season, which is right around the corner, and began to think about the importance of Kansas making a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. So, my question is, how important is it for Kansas to make a deep run this upcoming season?

During the 2021-22 season, Bill Self won his second national championship at Kansas and finished with an overall record of 34-6. A year later, the Jayhawks were again awarded a No. 1 seed but fell to Arkansas, the No. 8 seed, during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Kansas finished the year with an overall record of 23-11 and lost to Gonzaga during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.

Before the season started, a few guys didn't show up or were removed from the roster, while Kevin McCullar, Jr., missed significant time down the stretch and never returned to the court. Hunter Dickinson also suffered an injury to his shoulder, but he returned for the NCAA Tournament.

With a roster that appears to be loaded from top to bottom, how important is it for Kansas to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament this season?
