I just bought a new house and I’m apparently a technologically challenged millennial so I was hoping one of yall could help before I called in someone.

I’ve got 4 netgear WAX615 wifi access points installed in the ceilings through the house. I have the ATT equipment wired to a switch that is then wired to the netgear devices. I downloaded the netgear insight app and connected them all. The internet is working on my phone, but when the guy came to install the downstair’s TV he said

“Your access points (devices on your ceilings that are signaling the Howard ext network) are not configured properly. The only address that is successful on a hand off is the Mac address. There is no other IP address that the tv can connect to.

Meaning when you tried to connect the tv to the access point the tv kept attempting to connect but had no ip address and since it's not a computer you cant configure the tv to the access points.

if you need multiple networks just do them from the access points. Let the router just be a bridge to be efficient.”

So can someone explain like I’m a 2 year old what I should do to be able to get the TV to connect to the internet?
