We had quite a few true freshman play last year - do we see that again this year? Categorize the true freshman into groups of who you think has a high, medium, and low chance of playing this upcoming season
HIGH
Evan Fairs - we have quite a few talented guys here, but think Fairs is too good to sit this upcoming year
Khalil Herbert - more of an indication of our depth at RB than anything
Maciah Long - just too physically impressive to sit this year
Kyle Mayberry - may have too high of expectations for him, but think he starts by the end of the year
MEDIUM
Isaiah Bean - think he would be best suited with a redshirt year to develop, but with his pass rush could play right away
Bryce Torneden - tempted to put him under high, may not play much safety this year, but the kid plays fearless and that should at least get him ST duty this season
Tyriek Starks - think he could use a redshirt year to learn the offense, but with his speed could sneak in some reps this year
Ian Peterson - a lot of upper classmen at safety, but might have more talent than a some of the backups and could break into the rotation this season
Chris Hughes - probably should redshirt to make sure he is healthy from his knee injury, but JK saying in the 2016 recruits he showed up looking impressive and could see an opportunity right away at LG for him
Keegan Brewer - with the Mayfield rule now being in place, may be smart to redshirt him, but had his moments in the Spring Game showing he can make plays
LOW
Julian Chandler - smart kid, but needs some time to develop IMO
Hunter Harris - let the kid get healthy and build him up, would hate to rush his development
Antione Frazier - high ceiling, but needs to get bigger before he can play
Cam Durley - at one point in time would have put him in medium or high category, but another kid that could use some time as he has really only played a year of football
Shola Ayinde - another guy I think could use some S&C before he plays
Dagan Haehn - we know the kid is tough coming back from an ACL injury in only 4 months, but wouldn't rush it with him and develop him some before giving him some reps
