KU won the game and looked like a Big 12 team playing a lower opponent. That hasn't happened for five plus years.
All of the hype about the strength and conditioning program was shown to be accurate. The guys look bigger, yet leaner, and you could see the speed/quickness factor at every position.
The other thing we noticed was looking at the guys who didn't dress on the sideline. There are some big boys waiting in the wings. And more of them!
Two items of concern moving forward. The D-Line, particularly the inside tackles, gave up to many rushing yards up the gut. I would like to see three big boys play with Armstrong on first down and running distances.
The O-Line did not run block as effectively as I would have hoped against a smaller opponent. The pass blocking was good.
BTW, who was the guy with the name COZART on his jersey? He threw the ball better in every way last night, and, except for the brain fart on the int, he looked like a different person. His release looked shorter and quicker, with the result of improved accuracy.
Overall, KU passed the eye test for the first time since....well in a long time! Ohio is very beatable, the trip to Memphis is looking better and better!!!!!!
