I know draft decisions are mostly based upon potential, and the days of needing to be a finished product are gone. However, as I watch Gradey play, I keep thinking how much he could use another year with Coach Self. Physically, he is pretty weak---as one would expect with a freshman, he plays soft (case in point: the "gift" he gave West Virginia in the last minute), he does not cut hard to get open and every team we play schemes to get him in a one-on-one situation defensively because he does not move very well laterally yet. With all that said, he's obviously a special talent, and KU will be fine regardless of his decision as long as we have Coach Self---but I think for Gradey's sake, he should come back for another year.
