this has been posted on the slant already but it's buried in some threads. This deserves its own thread. I believe it was Ben Heeney who started a goFundme for Brandons funeral.
There are many players who knew Brandon better than me and many who were closer than me. I worked with the football program for 6 years from Mangino to Gill to Weis. I knew Brandon better than I knew most KU players. He was definitely my friend and I loved talking to him and seeing his smile everyday in that football complex and out on the field.
I know this situation is very confusing for many, myself included. I can absolutely tell you who he was. He was a great man, friend and teammate. He is the type of guy you want your son or daughter to be friends with. I could go on and on. I have so many positive memories of him that are all flashing through my head right now. He was such a good person. He was.
Anyways, I wish I could do more but I can't. If you have any financial wiggle room, I ask that you support this cause. Brandon briefly introduced me to his parents one time. They were so down to earth and you can see why Brandon was such a great person. Please help his parents with this if you can!
