While we wait for our game against Villanova this evening, I was curious who was your first favorite non-KU basketball player? We had the thread about first favorite KU player but was curious who did everyone enjoy watching from the outside?
For example my first favorite KU player was Danny Manning.
I would have to say my first non-favorite KU college player was probably Steve Alford at Indiana. I guess it’s just one of those situations I absolutely loved his overall basketball IQ and fundamentals. He was such a treat to watch shooting the basketball but also running around coming off or setting up screens. Kind of fitting with us playing Villanova today since Jay Wright loves having his players play similar to how Alford did.
