The more I think about him the more I think he might be the biggest benefactor of the coaching change.

Think about it...

-Weis was a terrible HC

-Powlus was handed the #1 QB from 2 different classes, and each of them had all the talent in the world, and wasn't able to get anything from them

-his FR year he A) was a terrible fit stylistically for what we were trying to do then B) we tried to incorporate his skills with a staff who knew nothing about what they were trying to do

-after he was given the reins, our fan base anointed him as the savior...as a true FR...on a sh!t team...with a sh!t system...with 1 weapon...with a sh!t staff

-last year's offense was a damn joke until Bowen gave it to Kiesau, but by then Cozart was long gone

-not only that, but he was handed the job after 15 spring practices and anointed the starter before there was any real competition

I have been as hard on him as anyone, questioning his toughness all the way to his demeanor and questioning if he even likes football.

But the more I think about it, he might have been dealt worse cards than anyone on the team. And he's shown flashes of being a good QB.

I really wonder if a fresh start, a simplified system (but more complex than throwing nothing but bubbles and smokes), a new QB coach, a wide open field, etc. is what it would take to get the game to slow down for him and start taking advantage of his natural abilities.

Lord knows it would be amazing if Stanley and Willis were able to RS 2015 then work their way in during 2016 and compete for the full time job after 2 full years on campus.
