This was completed before all the top 30 recruits had made their decisions. The BIG 12 signed 5 players in the top 100 as ranked by rivals. KU #21 Bragg,UT 2 players #34 and #59,OSU #36 and W.V. #72. IMO the BIG 12 lacks the number of quality recruits to have a deep run in the tournament. This has been the trend over several years and reflects our lack of teams in the recent 10 years of putting teams in the final four. Exceptions can happen such as Wisconsin,but the other 3 teams were Michigan State,Duke and Kentucky. The other 2 exceptions were Maryland and UCONN who won the national championship with no MacDonalds on their roster(this represents a 37 year history).
