They are talking about it now, but imagine if Philly would have held on to the 3rd pick last year instead of trading up to pick 1st and take Fultz. They would have Tatum, and the extra 1st round pick in 18 (lakers) or 19 (kings). Simmons, Tatum, Saric and Embiid would unreal, and all on rookie contracts. Spend some money this year on a SG (let Redick walk, no way that guy should be pulling down 23 mil a year). Add a Tyreke Evans on a 2 year deal, and be in a good spot to keep Simmons and Saric when they are restricted FA in 2020-2021.
Maybe Fultz still pans out, but I doubt he is better than Tatum and the 1st round pick they gave up.
They still have a very good young core in Simmons, Embiid and Saric. But it could have been....
