Since the Memphis game, Carter Stanley has been on the sideline in "street clothes" - jersey top but with no pads. That changed during the game against OU. I was surprised to see him in pads- he was even carrying a helmet around and put it on a few times... jumping around on the sideline, alert, really into the game, and generally acting like he was expecting to get called on to play in the game.
Anyone know what was up with that? I was puzzled by this situation. Is it possible that he has #earnedit for the backup roll? Would hate to see them pull his redshirt for a few snaps in the latter part of the season. Surely Millweard is still the backup... right? David and Bob mentioned in the broadcast that it sounds like Cozart might be close to returning as well. Is this just Beaty preparing for the worst after seeing the OU D on tape?
