My wife and I were passengers in a car accident a couple of days ago while vacationing. Our driver T Boned another car who pulled out in front of us while we were doing ~50 mph. Fortunately, nothing serious on the scans, just lots of bruising and whatnot.
So my question is, if I’ve already hit my out of pocket max on my health insurance (unrelated to this accident), is there any advantage to going after the at fault driver’s insurance to cover the hospital bills? I’m not really interested in pursuing anything else, but wasn’t sure if I had some type of duty to my health insurance company to pursue.
