I went to team camp at Blue Springs South yesterday. Schools competing were BSS, Ray Pec, Eureka, Raytown South, Fort Osage and Grain Valley. A few things stood out
1) Ray Pec is going to be one of the top teams in Missouri 6A this year. Their Defense was incredible. Lot's of speed, good size, and they all sprint to the ball. RB was scrappy and mean. QB had a solid arm and looked to have some capable receivers.
2) Cameron Nisbet from Eureka is a beast! Has a D1 body right now. His QB looked weak, as well as his O Line, so not sure what kind of numbers he will put up. He's a WR now, but the kid could fit 235 on his frame and be a great TE.
3) Jabril Cox didn't stand out. Not sure he was even there, because the Ray South offense really didn't do much all day.
4) We are going to hate playing Skylar Thompson for the next 4 years. Incredible arm, and sneaky fast speed. He was throwing deep in routes like they were quick slants. Right on target, in stride before the break, 30-35 yds down field. I only remember 1 deep ball he missed all day.
